Escapetunnel Limited is a consultancy based in the East Midlands, which works in the areas of creativity, change and business support. The mission of Escapetunnel Limited is to develop and deliver content, products and experiences that help people get what they want from their careers, creativity and lives.
Current projects include Make It Happen! - a coherent programme of twelve workshops that explores and supports business start-up for creative practitioners. 
Topics include motivation, mission and purpose, pricing and selling, networking, business formation and organisation, finance and accounting, time-management, intellectual property, using the internet effectively, personal and written presentation, business premises and business planning. Make It Happen! has run seventh times since 2005 and a specialist version for unemployed graduates and professionals is being run in November 2009.
A range of services are offered, including workshop and programme delivery and the development of learning and information resources.
Areas of expertise include career development, self-employment, business development and management teambuilding. The majority of clients are within the creative industries and programmes and workshops are tailored to participants' needs through dialogue and consultation. Although based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, work is carried out throughout the UK. The Director of Escapetunnel Limited, David James Ross works as a lecturer, trainer, writer and consultant, specialising in career and business development within the creative industries. Formerly the subject leader for Career Management Studies within the Joint Honours degree programme at the University of Derby, he now retains a connection with higher education by teaching professional practice on Foundation and BA (Hons) Commercial Photography and Video and Video Production. David has a unique training style that strongly encourages and facilitiates discussion and reflection and you can read testimonials along with details of some of the friends and associates he has worked with recently.
