Careers Consultancy
For those making career and university choices - Right First Time with the Morrisby Profile
Higher Education is too expensive to get it wrong. Yet schools and colleges are not always well supported and resourced in their attempts to help their students.
The Morrisby Profile is a tool developed specifically to help those making career choices whilst studying for A-levels. It's use is widespread in many independent schools.
A battery of tests and questionnaires are taken in a group under exam conditions. An extensive report and feedback are given within the next two weeks.
This service is only viable if administered to at least four clients in a single setting. If you are an individual, please contact me and I'll be able to advise you when I'm next planning to run a group. Exact costs depend on group size and location but a guide price is £200 per delegate, to include the written report and face-to-face or telephone feedback.
For career development and change - MBTI
Much of the advice given on careers is based on abilities and skills, but what if you already know what you're good at and what your skills are? Many people in career transition find that an exploration of their personality is helpful.
The MBTI is the world's leading personality questionnaire, used within many organisations for career and personal development. Completion of the MBTI questionnaire is followed by a 90-minute in-depth discussion of your own personality preferences and their implications. Supporting materials and further reading can be recommended.
Exact cost depends on location but a guide price is £200 per delegate, to include the questionnaire and face-to-face feedback.
For those who want to explore their MBTI type further, I can also offer the relatively new MBTI Step Two.
Individual Consultancy, e.g. help with clearing
I only offer consultancy on specific issues within areas of my expertise. Mostly this is about choosing university courses, as for a few years this was my specialist role and more recently I've worked for three different universities.
Please contact me for an initial discussion. For areas outside my expertise, I can usually recommend a trusted associate.
CV Turnaround
I estimate that in the past seventeen years, I've worked on about 4,000CVs. I've only ever seen one that I couldn't improve at all and with many I've been able to help make drastic improvements. As a writer and editor, I'm often able to suggest immediate improvements to wording, presentation and layout.
I only do a limited amount of this work and only take on CVs I can significantly improve. The first point is to contact me for an initial discussion.
